Eyes closed.
Silence.
Wait for as long as it takes for a sound to happen, allowing it to follow a rhythm of its own, nothing imposed by you.
Stay with it.
Give it time to grow until it eventually merges with the void.
Repeat this process with other sounds, singly or in combination.
After the final sound has gone, remain silent until the audience has left the performance space.
Then, when the time is right, quietly take your instrument and go.
