Total running track about 100 feet (plus sidings). Scaled up this is over 1,300 yards.
So a train starting from the branch line terminus, doing a full circuit of the dumbbell and running back to the
branch line terminus had completed nearly 2,600 scale yards, which is approximately one-and-a-half miles.
